ABM Moldes S.L. is a company devoted to the
design and manufacture of pilot, prototype and
series molds for plastic blow molding with

ABM always makes its molds to exactly meet
customers’ specifications and respecting quality
parameters which are reflected in its own
quality policy and ISO 9001:2000 certification. It
is not surprising therefore that ABM has recently
adopted MyWorkPLAN, Sescoi’s job shop system.
ABM can now quickly produce quotations and
detailed budgets using the MyWorkPLAN
Estimator module. Having categorized the new
job from a list of configurable technical criteria,
ABM can create a budget in two different ways.
The first option consists of using MyWorkPLAN’s
clever filtering tool to bring up details of previous
jobs sharing similar characteristics to the job in
hand. The second option consists of using Excel®
spreadsheets which calculate and send to
MyWorkPLAN the hours and materials necessary
to carry out the job. The calculations are carried
out virtually automatically based on technical
criteria such as dimensions, volume, density or
complexity level.
When the quotation is accepted by the
customer, ABM simply converts the quotation
into a job to which all the costs are allocated,
whether these be hours worked by
employees, materials bought from
suppliers or subcontracted work.

Tracker module, ABM has
at its fingertips real
time information
enabling users to
spot at a glance
any possible
variations which may occur between the
budget and the real costs they incur. In this
way, ABM knows the profit margin on each
one of its jobs and tasks, those in hand as
well as those completed.

Sescoi’s Faststart methodology was used in the
MyWorkPLAN implementation process,
consisting of an introductory course and a short
phase of personalization and configuration.
