WorkPLAN Solutions are designed to satisfy the requirements of die making customers. We have dedicated, easy-to-use tools for estimating, quoting, scheduling, registering time spent, purchasing material and tracking the real cost of manufacturing dies, progressive dies, sheet metal stamping tools, press tools, punches, gauges, jigs and fixtures.
Tool and die makers often manage complex jobs where each new project is often similar but slightly different to previous ones. WorkPLAN has a customizable set of technical criteria variables which allows the complexity and characteristics of a die to be defined. These criteria can be used as inputs to automatically calculate the cost of a new job, or can be used to filter and find similar jobs quoted or produced in the past, which can then be copied and edited.
The WorkPLAN database has been designed to manage multiple modifications which are typically present during the design and manufacturing of a die or set of dies. A quotation may have multiple versions, and a sales order can have multiple lines and index levels in order to track costs generated by each modification, repair or maintenance. WorkPLAN also includes a document management system, enabling all files and attachments to be saved and shared within specific subfolders for each die or project. It is also possible to track the life of the dies when they are in production or maintenance.
WorkPLAN implementation and learning is quick thanks to our experience with die making customers, our training guides, demo databases and video tutorials. Check out the case studies below of some of our die making customers around the world:
