For close to 20 years, Sescoi has been designing and developing WorkPLAN Solutions to satisfy all the requirements of mold making customers. We have dedicated, easy-to-use tools for estimating, quoting, scheduling, registering time spent, purchasing material and tracking the real cost of manufacturing molds for plastic injection, rubber injection, metal injection and casting, blow molding, vacuum forming, molds for composite parts,  sintering press tools and foundry tooling.

Mold-makers often manage complex projects where each new job is usually similar but slightly different from previous ones. WorkPLAN has a customizable set of technical criteria variables that allow the complexity and characteristics of each mold to be defined. These criteria can be used as inputs to automatically calculate the cost of the new mold, or can be used to filter and find similar molds quoted or produced in the past, which can then be copied and edited.

WorkPLAN Solutions enable CAD/CAM integration including an optional Analyzer tool which allows you to open and analyze CAD files of the parts to be produced, helping you to calculate the complexity and cost of the mold. WorkPLAN solutions also include an interface to the WorkNC CAM system which allows the estimated machining times for a job to be imported. You can even integrate Sescoi's WorkXPlore 3D high-speed, collaborative viewer.

The WorkPLAN database has been designed to manage multiple modifications which are typically present during the mold design and manufacturing. A quotation may have multiple versions, and a sales order can have multiple index levels in order to track costs generated by each modification, mold repair or maintenance. WorkPLAN also includes a document management system, so that all files and attachments can be saved and shared within specific subfolders for each mold. It is also possible to track the life of the mold when it is in production or maintenance.
