WorkNC And Edgecam Feature At EMO

WorkNC and other Sescoi software packages will be exhibiting in Germany for the first time under the Vero banner, at EMO.

Visitors to booth K12 in Hall 25 will see for themselves how Vero is continuing to invest in the WorkNC product suite, following its acquisition of Sescoi earlier this year.

Sescoi General Manager Simon Lee says:“Customers will see Sescoi’s new Vero branding, and EMO gives us the opportunity to reassure them of investment in the products, service and support, and that WorkNC, WorkPLAN and WorkXPlore 3D will continue to develop as a premier automatic CNC software for surface and solid models in mold, die and tooling businesses for 2 to 5-axis CNC programming".

While the booth will feature machining videos, a number of WorkNC’s machine tool partners will be hosting live machining demonstrations on their own booths. These include Hermle Machine Company, Ingersoll Machine Tools, Deckel Maho and Datron.
Edgecam will also be represented on the Vero booth, through Edgecam reseller Camtech, who will be demonstrating the new Workflow and launch application introduced in the latest version, 2013 R2.

The new functionality aids in loading and positioning the component, choosing the manufacturing method and suitable machine tools, adding user defined stock or stock from a database, importing fixtures, selecting a machine and toolkit, and managing strategies to automate manufacture. At each stage Workflow takes decisions or makes suggestions as to how the goal is best achieved. However, the user can easily over-ride the decisions if required making the whole process flexible.

Two Workflow webinars were attended by over 1,000 engineers globally, and Edgecam more than doubled the number of training days for the new release, to accommodate the demand from users wanting hands-on experience of the game-changing development. Visitors to booth K12 will see detailed demonstrations of how Workflow enables operators to apply toolpaths within seconds.

Edgecam General Manager Raf Lobato says: “EMO is the key exhibition for the metalworking industry across Europe, and is ideal for visitors to see for themselves how they can benefit from producing programs much faster than if they were using more conventional CAM systems".
