You can interrogate a project’s CAD data with the system’s integrated Analyzer tool which extracts data from the CAD file and drops it directly into your quotation data – including part volumes, surfaces, measurements, minimum and maximum radii, material…etc. The Analyzer can handle a range of formats including STEP, IGES, UNIGRAPHICS, CATIA V4 & V5, PARASOLID, SOLIDWORKS, SOLIDEDGE, PRO/E, STL, etc...
An interface to the WorkNC CAM system allows users to import estimated machining times for a job and use them to help create accurate cost budgets. It also allows them to open CAM workzones or view CAM documentation from within WorkPLAN. You can even, if you wish, in the future integrate Sescoi's WorkXPlore 3D high-speed, collaborative viewer for advanced CAD file analysis and extremely fast handling of even very large 2D or 3D CAD files.
