QUOTATIONS
As accurate quotes are the key to profitable jobs, WorkPLAN solutions were designed to quickly create precise price offers.
- By using your experience from earlier job or quotes
- By analyzing project CAD data & viewing CAM information
- By importing bill of materials sheets from any external system
- By using your original MS Excel cost calculation sheets
- By applying characteristic technical criteria to each job for faster reference
- By creating MS Word files and PDFs directly in WorkPLAN for E-Mail transmission
The system's "Estimator" module lets you define the parameters of a job or project you are quoting by adding ‘Characteristic Technical Criteria’ which can be used to retrieve similar past quotes or jobs which you can copy and edit.
For even greater accuracy, you can capture your CAD data with the system’s integrated Analyzer tool which extracts data from your job’s CAD file and drops it directly into your quotation data – including part dimensions, volumes, areas and more. You can even attach CAD files to your quotation. A direct interface to the WorkNC CAM system allows users to collect estimated machining times for a job.
You can even, if you wish, in the future integrate Sescoi's WorkXPlore 3D high-speed, collaborative viewer for advanced CAD file analysis and extremely fast handling of even very large 2D or 3D CAD files.
In addition to simply creating a quote by inputting data via the system’s user-friendly data entry forms, there are two other smart methods of creating a technical breakdown for a job or project with a list of all related tasks and material requirements :
If you have a bill of materials list created in a CAD system, you can use WorkPLAN’s Advanced Bill of Materials tool to import it with all the items, technical specs and quantities required.
You can also use your existing Excel® spreadsheets – WorkPLAN will send characteristic criteria as inputs to the spreadsheet and a list of task times and material costs will be automatically created based on the outputs calculated in the spreadsheet.
